Alcovest Rapid - Alcohol polysilicate coating for Stellite casting

Alcoves Rapid - Coating based on poly -silicates and alcohol, specially designed for stellite flows.

According to the ISO standard 15912: 2016, ranks like Type 2 coating, Class 1. The coating contains quartz powder.

Do not inhale this powder!

• Alcohol - Add the contents of the small bottle (b) to the bottle (A). Shake for 1 minute and let the mixture stand for 4 hours.
• After this period, the mixture will be ready to use.
• The mixed liquids are starting to react after 10 minutes.
• An increase in temperature should be respected.
• If the use of liquid lasts more than 10 days, it is advisable to redo the liquid.

• Duplicate model : for 200 g of powder, use the following mixture: 15-16 ml liquid / 100 g powder.
• Cylinder : for 400 g of powder, use the following mixture: 17-18 ml of liquid / 100 g of powder.

• Prepare the liquid according to the desired concentration, add the powder to the liquid and vigorously mix 60 s.

Alcovest: 8-10 minutes (20-22 ºC) / Alcovest-Rapid: 6 minutes working time can be reduced if the liquid is at a higher temperature.

The working time can be prolonged when the liquid and/or the powder are at a temperature below 20 ° C.

• Duplicate can be achieved with gelatin or silicone.
• Alcovest 35-40 minutes / Alcovest-Rapid: 30-35 minutes, both for duplicate models and for cylinders. 40 minutes in an oven at 220-240 ° C. According to the usual technique. We recommend the technodur hardener.
• Duplicate can be carried out with gelatin or duplication silicone.
• The filling of the models must be carried out on a vibrator. To guarantee smooth and hard surfaces, keep the vibrations for 10 minutes.

Alcovest: 35-40 minutes / Alcohol : 30-35 minutes, both for duplicate models and for cylinders. 40 minutes in an oven at 220-240 ° C. According to the usual technique. We recommend the technodur hardener.

Alcovest powder Store at 18-25ºC. Maintain well closed packaging out of humidity.

This coating is sensitive to humidity, prolonged exposure to air can alter the characteristics of the product.

• A & B liquid Store at 7-20ºC.
• Keep away from all sources of inflammation.
• Maintain well closed packaging after each use.
• Once the A&B liquids are mixed, if they are not used within 10 days, do not use. It is recommended to store the mixture in the refrigerator at more than 7 ° C otherwise risk of crystallization.

Very flammable liquid and vapors , toxic by ingestion, by skin contact or inhalation, may have serious effects for organs.

Once the Alcovest coating is dry, place the cylinder in a cold oven and dry it for 30 to 60 minutes at 300 ° C depending on the number of cylinders.

• Heating: Mount up to the desired temperature between 7 and 9 °/minute up to 950 ° C for partial plates 1050 ° C for full plates.
• Maintain the final temperature 30 to 60 minutes depending on the number of cylinders.
• If these indications should not be respected, crevices can occur on the surface of the cylinders.
• After the casting, let the cylinder cool at room temperature.

Do not immerse the freshly sunk cylinders in cold water.
